Team Recruiting, Organization
The Kairos Leader is responsible for forming a Team that meets the requirements of the Kairos Method. In addition to forming a team to go inside the institution, a support team is needed outside the institution to serve in the kitchen preparing meals and assisting with agape.
A pre-team formation letter to evaluate a person’s interest or availability is only the first step for the Weekend Leader to take. The actual invitation to serve on the team should be made by the leader in person or by telephone, not by impersonal e-mail.
It is natural for a leader to call on volunteers who served on past Kairos teams to make up a more experienced team; however, the Kairos method calls for the team to be made up of one-third new, first-time volunteers.
A team consisting of one-third new volunteers is expected and important to the health, viability, and growth of the ministry.
